Before you light

  1. Remove all outer packaging, ribbons, tags, dust covers and loose decorative material.
  2. Place the candle upright on a stable, heat-resistant candle plate and protect furniture from heat and wax.
  3. Trim every wick to approximately 5 mm before lighting and remove the trimmings.
  4. Keep clear of curtains, shelves, decorations, draughts and flammable materials. Leave at least 10 cm between burning candles.
02

While it burns

  1. Never leave a burning candle unattended, even briefly.
  2. Keep away from children and pets and anywhere the candle could be knocked over.
  3. Burn for no more than four hours at a time unless the product label gives a shorter limit.
  4. Do not move, touch or handle the candle while lit or while the wax is hot.
  5. If the flame becomes unusually high, repeatedly flickers or smokes, extinguish it, let it cool and trim the wick before relighting.
03

Extinguish safely

  1. Use a candle snuffer where possible and never use water.
  2. Check that the wick has stopped glowing before leaving the room.
  3. Let the candle and wax cool completely before moving, covering or storing it.
  4. Stop using the candle when approximately 10 mm of wax remains, or sooner if the product label instructs you to.
